Overview
Snapora is an app for photography and event businesses and the freelancers who work with them. It manages leads, orders, event functions, crew assignments, payments and accounting. This policy explains what information the Snapora app (Android package com.snapora.app) and its servers collect, why, who it is shared with, and how you can delete it.
- You sign in with your phone number. We do not ask for a password.
- We store the business records you enter so they are available on your devices and to the people you work with.
- Your contact list stays on your phone. Only a contact you choose is sent to our servers.
- Snapora shows no ads. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.
- You can delete your account and its data at any time, in the app or from our account deletion page.
Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Account: your phone number and country code (used to sign in with a one-time code), your name, and, if you add them, your email address, postal address and profile photo.
- Business profile: business name, email, address, owner name and email, and logo.
- Freelancer profile: the work you offer, day rates, experience, availability and preferred locations.
- Business records: the clients you add (name, phone number, email, address), leads, orders, event functions (dates and venues), crew assignments, invoices, and the payments, expenses and income you record (amounts, payment method, reference numbers and notes).
- People you add as crew: the name and phone number, and the email address if there is one, of a person you type in or choose from your contacts.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app: a random ID created when the app is installed, the push notification token of your device, the platform (Android or iOS) and the app version.
- Server logs: the IP address, time and address of each request the app makes, kept for security and troubleshooting.
Subscription information
When paid plans are offered, purchases are made through Google Play. We receive the plan, its status, its renewal or expiry dates, the product identifier and a random subscriber ID. We never receive or store your card, UPI or bank details.
What we do not collect
- Your contact list or address book (see Contacts below).
- Your location.
- An advertising ID.
- Card numbers or bank account details.
App Permissions
- Contacts (optional): if you allow it, Snapora reads your contacts on your phone to show a list you can pick a crew member from. The list is not uploaded. When you pick a contact, that one contact's name, phone number and email address are sent to our servers to add the person as crew. You can refuse this permission and type the details instead.
- Notifications: to tell you about assignments, event reminders and updates. You can turn them off in the app's Settings or in your phone's settings.
- Photos and camera: only when you choose or take a profile photo or business logo. Snapora uses your phone's photo picker or camera app and receives only the picture you select.
- Storage (Android 9 and older only): to save an invoice PDF to your Downloads folder when you ask for it.
- Internet and network state: to reach our servers and to show when you are offline.
How We Use Information
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To provide the app: leads, orders, event functions, crew assignment, invoices, payments and reports.
- To send push notifications about your assignments and events.
- To apply your plan and its limits when paid plans are offered.
- To answer support requests, fix problems and prevent abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to anyone.
Retention and Deletion
We keep your information while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time:
- In the app: Settings → Delete Account.
- Without the app: follow the steps on our account deletion page.
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- your profile: name, email address, postal address, profile photo and freelancer profile;
- your devices and notification tokens, and your subscription record with us;
- if you have a business in Snapora: the business profile and logo and everything in it — clients, leads, orders, event functions, crew assignments, invoices, and the payments and expenses ledger.
What may remain after deletion:
- If another business added you as crew, the name and phone number that business saved for you, and its records of the jobs and payments between you, stay in that business's account. They are that business's records. Ask the business to remove you, or write to us.
- Server logs and routine backups, which are removed as they expire.
- Information we are required by law to keep.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play. Cancel it in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Security
All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to the servers and the database is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
- See and correct your information in the app (Settings → Business Profile or Freelance Profile), or write to us.
- Delete your account and data as described above.
- Withdraw the Contacts or Notifications permission in your phone's settings at any time.
- Depending on where you live (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or the laws of the EU, the UK or California) you may have further rights, such as access, correction, erasure and raising a grievance. Write to us to use them.
Children
Snapora is a tool for businesses and working professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. When we make a material change we will say so in the app or by other reasonable means, and update the date at the top. Using Snapora after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
